In the course of researching contact persons for Covid infected persons, the authorities are dependent on information obtained from recording the persons present. It is always about people with whom an infected person was in contact 48 hours before the onset of symptoms or 48 hours before the test was carried out.

Since this is usually not done voluntarily, the legislature has issued an ordinance which (currently) requires companies in which food and drinks are consumed to keep a record of the people. The recording obligation can of course be extended to other companies at any time…

Of course, there is no need to do this in digital form, a paper form is also sufficient, but in digital form this is of course much easier, more convenient and faster for you as a guest / resident and the companies or associations.

Ultimately, it is about the safety of all guests and residents, not to bring the health system to its capacity limits and to ensure that all sick people get the best possible help!

Since a record of the persons is now required by law and there are currently 13 different solutions for this on the market, it was decided to introduce a uniform solution for this in any case, at least in our district. All of this to make it as easy as possible for all guests and residents.

The solution used is called „feratel MyVisitPass“.

It works in such a way that a certain website has to be opened with the smartphone and this is then best stored as a favorite/bookmark on the home screen/desktop of the smartphone. How to get there, read below.

This website including bookmarks is then permanently saved on your smartphone as a PWA app and can be used again and again if you scan a QR code.

Each time you enter a company, you either scan a QR code with the „MyVisitPass“ app (either on the table or in the room) and thus check in. When you leave, you should do this again and checkout, but it’s not a must.

  • Data protection is the top priority! All basic data is only stored on your smartphone, check-in/out processes are stored on the solution provider’s servers and all these processes take place on servers in Austria and are fully GDPR-compliant.
  • The operator of a company or association cannot view any data; it is transmitted to the authorities (in the event of a Covid incident) in encrypted form.
  • Your „MyVisitPass“ can of course also be used in all other regions that also work with this system (such as all of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, all of Carinthia and all of Upper Austria).
  • Operation for you is very easy: after the first brief setup process by saving a bookmark called „MyVisitPass“ on your smartphone and briefly entering the required data, this information is permanently saved on your smartphone (except you delete ALL settings in the browser).

As already mentioned, we have given top priority to data protection!

  • All basic data is only stored on your smartphone, check-in/out processes are stored on the solution provider’s servers and all these processes take place on servers in Austria and are fully GDPR-compliant.
  • The operator of a company or association cannot view any data; it is transmitted to the authorities (in the event of a Covid incident) in encrypted form.
  • All data stored on the servers will be deleted in accordance with the regulations after 28 days.

The possibilities are many:

  • Open the website https://allesausserfern.myvisit-pass.com in the browser of your smartphone or click on the „MyVisitPass“ logo.
  • Use a QR code-capable photo app on your smartphone to scan the QR code on the right on this website and open the link.
  • Use a QR code-capable photo app on your smartphone to scan the QR code attached to a company.
  • An employee in a company enters your data in his operator app and sends you an email to invite you.

You then only need to follow the instructions, enter a few data (more or less depending on the federal state; in the case of Tyrol, first name, last name, telephone number, optionally email address) and you are ready to use.

How to put a favorite/bookmark on the home screen/desktop of the smartphone?
Here you will find instructions for both Android and Apple smartphones:

Provided you have already saved the „MyVisitPass“ favorite/bookmark on your smartphone, then the possibilities are also diverse here:

  • You start the „MyVisitPass“ app on your smartphone, start the „Scan entry code“ function and scan a QR code in the company.
  • Alternatively, you can also start any other barcode scanner app on your smartphone (the camera app can often do this, but not always!), scan a QR code in the company, which trigger the check-in using the „MyVisitPass“ app too.
  • You start the „MyVisitPass“ app on your smartphone, press the „Show my code“ function and an employee of the company scans your code with his operator app.
  • In Case you cannot find a QR code or the scan does not work, but there is an „operater code“ (number) present, then start the „MyVisitPass“ app on your smartphone, start the „Scan entry code“ function and enter this code/number in the „operater code“ field instead.

If you have family members from the same household(!) with you, you can also state the total number of people at check-in.
Alternatively, the app also offers the option of storing additional passports in order to record your family members (such as the children) and then specify them at check-in.

Checking the check-in?
As soon as you have checked in, you can close the „MyVisitPass“ app on your smartphone. However, if you have to show your check-in to the staff of a company, you can restart the app at any time or scan a QR code in the restaurant for to see the current check-in status.

How to check out?
Simply restart the app or scan a QR code in the restaurant and click on „Leave location now“.

Either you accept the other solution, but run the risk of having to re-enter your data over and over again or fill out a paper form by hand, or you kindly point out to the staff or the owner why they are not using the district-wide uniform and use free contact tracing solution and give him this website https://pass.allesausserfern.at.
